We start with the ingredient list the maker publishes. Short and fully named beats long and vague.

Cruelty-free comes first
When two picks do the same job, the one listed in the Leaping Bunny guide wins. Not every pick is listed, so the badge row shows which ones are.

Simple ingredients win
Plant-based, enzyme-based, no fragrance, no dye: each only when the maker states it, with the source linked.

Check the certifier
We confirm a listing in the certifier's own database: Leaping Bunny, the VOHC list, EPA Safer Choice and Green Seal.

Show the proof on the card
We only show a badge with a primary source behind it. Every badge links to its source. No badge means we have not sourced one.
